A dense, bright underwater scene painted almost entirely in red. Fish of many kinds crowd the surface of the picture, some outlined in white and others filled with blue, yellow and green. A pale octopus with purple-ringed tentacles drifts across the centre, and a jellyfish, crabs and sea plants fill the lower half. Above them, a large patterned fish and a spotted sea creature glow in gold, purple and silver, with pale rays of light falling through the water.
